From the Dean...

What makes studying Engineering or Computer Science at the University of Evansville special? Here are the top three answers (among many others!):
- A personalized educational experience: Student learning is directed by caring, full-time faculty. Whenever learning happens - in the classroom, the laboratory, or in an informal settting - our faculty are available to help each student succeed.
- A project-based curriculum that produces results: Our students put their learning into practice with hands-on projects featured at all class-levels. Our success is evident as recent years have yielded top 10% finishes in regional and national competitions including:
- Concrete Canoe - sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers,
- Formula SAE racing - sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers,
- Autonomous Lawnmower - sponsored by the Institute of Navigation,
- Human-powered Lunar Rover (“Moonbuggy”) - sponsored by NASA, and
- Various Computer Programming Contests - sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery.
- The realistic opportunity to study abroad at UE’s Harlaxton College: A significant fraction of our students spend either a semester or a summer session at UE’s British campus and still complete their degree in four years.
